however, I don't think there ever was a rg370. SLRPC, you're sure that this guitar isn't an rg570, rg470 or rg270?
EDIT: just found out that there were 370's available outside the north american market. so you might have gotten one of those.
and the supposed "bad" quality of the currant bridge is exaggerated. I not having any problems with my edge pro.
Firstly, I'd rather not deal with the new one just because it's in a weird place on the guitar. In the future, you'll have to scrounge for Edge Pro parts because tremolos wear out over time. Though Edges tend to hold up pretty well, but it's just something that would bother me. If it were an '02 or earlier Edge, you could throw an OFR in there if you absolutely had to. And the Edge has had a 15 year run, and was pretty common, we dont really know how long the Edge Pro will be around, if it's not around long then parts could become hard to find....
Secondly, I think he may have been referring to the trems on the 370 now? That's the impression I had at first, but I may well be wrong anyway, heh.
But if you're referring to the Edge Pro II, then it was better than the TRS it replaced, whose bad qualities I experienced first hand. If you're referring to all Edge Pro's, then.... then it's pretty much hit or miss. I'd prefer locking studs definitely, but sometimes they work fine without them.
