missed out on the same guitar twice

I saw there was a used caparison apple horn orange on evilbay i blew my chance to get it by sleeping on it, and today the person who got it decided to sell it for $1400, I went to take my dog on a walk and it was gone again, **** luck. The stupid thing is I would have paid the original $1600 for it because compared to getting a new one for $2900 it was a great deal- plus the color looks better than a new one.

Re: missed out on the same guitar twice

sounds to me like you dodged a bullet if the first buyer is selling it for $200 LESS right after buying it..........I wonder what might be wrong with it????

This is what I was thinking, I have found in my short 43 years here on this big blue thing we call earth, all things happen for a reason, all things....

My thoughts exactly . . . too many good guitars out there to fuss over this one that the buyer unloaded pretty quickly.

Peace

Re: missed out on the same guitar twice

Umm..guys, I was the seller. I didn't "unload" it for $200 less right after I bought it. I had it up for $1600 BIN or best offer. The buyer made some offers and we haggled. I had that guitar over a year and paid $1100 for it when I bought it. Caps are in the gutter far as a used market right now.

Now this makes a little more sense. Highway's first post made it sound like both transactions were back-to-back.

Sorry you took a loss on it Jack........that's too nice of a guitar to loose money on. Your right though.......this market sucks for sellers.

That guitar was posted twice from two different locations Virginia and then Washington over the span of less than a week.

Re: missed out on the same guitar twice

No, I had the 3 Caps up selling them to help my niece with her tuition after I sold all the Ibanez here and the Hamers on the 'bay, took them down after her other uncle sold one of his cars to get the rest so I didn't need to sell them off then I put them back up a day or so later just to get rid of them and only the Apple Horn had any real interest. I had offers for the other two but honestly, more like insults. Who offers $17.50 on a Caparison? A moron, that's who.
