Missing Allen Keys

Hi all. I just bought my very first Ibanez Prestige RG 2550z today and also joined this sites forums. The guitar was imported from Turkey and there were no allen keys or other tools in the case. I have searched for ages but cannot find any answers to my question......... What size allen keys do I need for locking nut, bridge ? Thanks for any help.

Re: Missing Allen Keys

They will not export anything.

Besides it's $5 cheaper from your forum sponsor.

Re: Missing Allen Keys

It's no big problem but I wanted to be sure about the correct sizes.

Re: Missing Allen Keys

3mm, 2.5, 2, covers it all but the truss rod, 7mm.

Easier using the multi tool.

Re: Missing Allen Keys

Thanks very much Rich.
I am guessing maybe 3mm for lock nut and string stopper ?
and 2mm for stud lock.
What would 2.5 be used for ?

Re: Missing Allen Keys

Sorry, ignore 2.5 [that's for rear mount nuts]. I'm slightly off my game right now

I'll tell you right now, most people buy aftermarket wrenches and the fit is terrible. Use factory wrenches if at all possible.

Thumbs up Re: Missing Allen Keys

Thanks again Rich for the great advice. I will be purchasing the Prestige multi tool but for now I need to put some new strings on this guitar and have a 2mm and 3mm handy. I will tread carefully. Greetings from Ireland. 00:30 am here now.

You sell those multi tools? Both of them? Price?

Re: Missing Allen Keys

Old Prestige [Black] or new Prestige [Red, has the 1.5 for the ED/LE stud locks] are both $25, and $5 shipping instead of the $12 HUSA charges.
