Modding the new 7 String PART II (Obvious Influence)

Ok I decided to take a step and mod the new RG7321 once again after seeing the new 7's for the new guitarist for Korn.

Since I cant afford a mega custom made seven string. I decided to do this one like it (SORTA)

So far I took apart the pickups and hand painted the one bobbin so good but it will be replaced with a white pair of Blaze's or PAF7's

Well phase two was what I thought made that guitar so beautiful which was the white binding. Well since I am not a rich man by any means the only alternative was to lay down some white pinstripping.. It probably wont stay forever but once the back surgery is over I plan on having it done right..

Anyways here are some pics so far..

The RG7321 should come with binding as standard I reckon. And in more colours.

Aye.

RG7321 is very likely my next purchase cos I can't find any other good 7 string for that price or cheaper in the UK.

One thing I don't know is, is the switch on the 7321 a 3-way or 5-way?

Can't believe I've never taken notice of that site before! Could get some of those guitars much cheaper elsewhere though...

pinstripping is easy as cake.. Its a sticker only difficult part is maintaining a straight line thru out the guitars circumfrence.

Bobbins I just took my time backed out the allen heads and carefully sprayed the area. I stuck some air tubing from a fishtank line in the holes to prevent overspray in the pickup.

Re: Modding the new 7 String PART II (Obvious Influence)

hell yeah. i'll probably get a 7321 to mess around with after a jem, and that looks like a likely solution to the "boringism" (no it's not a word, but it could be, at least in my world, lol) of black upon black, with some silver, and then more black. and definetly change the pups, since the stock one's were a bit muddy.

looks killer though.

That looks cool. I think I'd buy a 7321 if the made them like that. It's a shame so many of us are forced to mod our guitars cos Ibanez are SO boring at the moment.
