modifications question

I just got my rg 1527, and I absolutely love it, it doesn't play or sound at all like a 600 dollar guitar. congrats ibanez!

but there are some modifacations id like to do to make this my dream 7 string. I already installed the ton zone 7 in the bridge and air norton 7 in the neck, and now it sounds absolutely beautiful. but i was wondering if I could perhaps put a thin flame ample top in blueburst or even just a veneer... and get the body bound in white. how much would that cost? also how much would a bound ebony fret board (bound headstock as well)with small offset abalone fret markers cost?

just looking for estimates

P.S. where can I find the site where i can get LED inlays?

Sounds suspiciously like your new dream guitar needed new pickups, a new neck and a new body

Heh. I guess i'm not the only one who thinks it's odd to buy a $600 guitar and then spend $1000 on mods. You guys are like the Fast and the Furious of the guitar world sometimes.

For all of those mods, i'd talk to Jeremy at LGM guitars (see the banner above).

Except for the LEDs, which you can get done at http://www.simscustom.com/

If they were the Fast and the Furious of the guitar world....

Who would be Vin Diesel - lol - Jeremy?

actually the body and neck and hardware are the same, I just want a bound fretboard and a bound flamed top.

is that so much to ask????

Not too much, no, but stripping the finish and ripping the fretboard off a brand-new guitar for the sake of aesthetics just seems like a lot to do on a brand-new guitar.

Not that i'm trying to discourage you at all... if it makes you happy and makes you want to play that guitar and make music even more, then go for it!

Just be warned that a new fretboard and a maple top are both pretty major mods.
