the artcores look so inredibly good, and the lightening bolt looks so incredibly wrong in them...

Re: More 2007 Ibanez guitars coming

I remember Mikey's "I don't think they need a nudge" right now...

Yeah right...

Who cares if Ibanez does retro colors for an anniversary limited edition(on a large scale)? They've always done cool colors for special editions from the DNA, to the Jem90th, to the JPM 90th, to the RG 20051 and the current puzzle tops.

But I think if they are STILL releasing Prestige models in the same black and white colors, they still aren't listening to us at all.

I'm betting Ibanez thinks their anniversary RG will satisfy all of the Jemsite users and the like. I don't know, but I think not. Not everybody will be able to afford it, or will be able to get one as they are limited, and more people will come to the light and want more and more retro colors.

People here rave about RG 550's because they are great playing, great looking guitars for the price.

I'm sure the RG 20th will be great playing and looking guitars - but with a price. And I'll bet right now we STILL won't get locking studs, or even the same anchoring system.

Seeing these pictures just angers me.

Another year of Ibanez going downhill.

The white SZ's look pretty cool...as does the AS103SM-NT. I wanna see some more RG's though .

easily the most boring guitar i've ever seen.

would even prefer the MRR blood-clot finish to this.

Finally I can get a black guitar with shark tooth inlays. Thank you Ibanez for finally giving us more black guitars.

Where is the PUKE icon for the RG/SZs.... dayum they are boring and monotonous.

Artcores are the saving grace... glen

Re: More 2007 Ibanez guitars coming

the RG 2610E on japan web site is interesting, yes it's black, i know... i don't mind, it just have one humbucker on the bridge with fading sharktooth inlays, trully a metal machine.... must have!

damn it, what about RG 20th ? I don't have any bullet anymore if I shot this one down....

Ha ha... Just what they said on the Fender forum... "Not that dull shape again!" All in all, it's more important how they sound/play. Looks are secondary, by far... At least for me. That said, I would prefer neon colors...

Re: More 2007 Ibanez guitars coming

I opened this thread with great expectations, and seeing yet another black RG right on the top of the first post was a swift kick in the groin Seriously though, that selection is really disappointing. I hope they have some more experimental stuff planned apart from the anniversary models. The Artcores look interesting though.

But that's the problem - with the same old boring colors and the lack of locking studs and lack of TRUE Wizard I necks - they really aren't upping the quality either!
