I play quite a bit of Setzer material, (if not all) and jazz/blues context, as well as more... Joe Pass'ish and even some Birelli and Django. These guitars simply do it all. Only issue is fret access in non-jazz context. But thats what my Ibanez's and Strats are for.

I'd love to get a Setzer one day, but for what they cost and as much as I would use it, it probably wont happen. I've seen him a few times with the orchestra and the BS Trio. Great shows.

Gorgeous! I am falling deeply in love with Gretsches..... Cid - I just bought a Roundup on the *Bay for $1400 - there really are some absolute bargains out there! Believe me - if you bought one, you'd end up using it far more than you would think. I love the two wierd guitars you posted after the Gretsches too!

Seeing as Im trying to unload a bunch of stuff, I wont be in the market for a long time, but thanks for the heads up. Maybe I will start looking. An orange Setzer would be awesome. I could finally play Stray Cat Strut the way it was meant to be played.

Ah yes, Setzer's stuff in the Stray Cat days is great. Blue Jean Bop, Sexy and 17, Rumble in Brighton. Great stuff.

These are just my jazzboxes I've collected, I have much more gear and guitars (Of course Ibanez as well).

I'm actually considering getting an Ibanez AWD83, to round out my 2 streamlined jazz boxes with the Gretsches.
