My custom fireman project

Hey guys! this is my first thread here on Jemsite! I have a couple of threads Im going to be starting, all of which involve my different projects I Have been working on! This first one Im sharing with you is my version of Paul Gilberts Fireman! Before i get to the pics heres all the parts i bought for it and everything i did to it:
-fireman body from perleguitars
-rg2ex1 guitar neck
-dimarzio tone zone andpaf pro,
1 tone, 1 volume, 3 way switch, (of course all knobs and wiring components)
-1 set of quilted maple veneer
-binding
-hardtail bridge
..etc.
I intalled the veneer, installed the binding, made a back tummy cut (for there wasnt one orginally), stained blue, nitrocellulose lacqueered it..etc.. will explain more as the post goes on!

I plan posting pix asap! I have pics of everything from the beginning so it should be quite interesting. You should definitely make a fireman though, they are awesome!

the binding wasnt so much hard as it was time consuming. Scraping just isnt fun haha. But it was definitely worth it, I love how the binding looks in contrast to the top and the mahoghany. I would definitely recommend trying it out sometime if you havent already. just make sure you practice on scrap wood first! and Thanks!!
