My first guitar build is done!!!! HNGD!!!
So a few weeks ago, I decided to put together a guitar from scratch(sort of)... I started off with an unfinished body from Perle Guitars
over a few days, I applied the stain... about 3 layers of stain and 6 coats of clear coat... i sanded down in between each layer
I ordered the neck off of ebay and the rest of the pieces from Stew Mac. I went to a friend's house to help with the electronics and then my guitar tech to put the finishing touches. I got her back today...
I based the guitar off of an Ibanez 540PII(aka Alex Skolnick's sig model).
She's awesome!!!!

Very nice man!!! well done, you obviously had a good vision of what you wanted before you started!!
How about some details?? Is that a WizII neck (one of my fav's). What kind of body wood? It looks like it could be either Basswood or Poplar. Which bridge did you choose? Pickups??

the wood is made of poplar. the guitar has a gotoh bridge and duncan jb and jazz pickups.

How is the upper fret access? I put a 24 fret neck on mine but it seems built for 22 frets.

The natural finish looks very classy, and goes well with the bound neck. Very nice!

That is a great guitar. I like the addition of Duncans and they are every bit as good as DiMarzios and I wish Ibanez would use them, too.

There was a J Custom that had them.
The RG2610 came stock with a Full Shred, too.

If Hendrix had lived and used an RG, it would be a mirror image of your guitar. There is nothing quite as cool as six on a side tuners on the bottom. What would be cool is to have a reverse/mirror image Ibanez logo similar to this Fender logo:
