Thumbs up My first J-Custom

Long time without an Edge equipped guitar ended this week as I managed to nearly impulse buy this one. It's extremely heavy compared to most Ibanez guitars I've held and PAF Pro's with the mahogany body make it actually quite detached from the generic shred guitar image that Ibanez sometimes has. Sounds really nice and warm through my Pod XT set to emulate some slightly overdriven Fender type amps.

Absolutely stunning guitar and very rare too. I'd love to have the opportunity
to buy one of those. I always thought they were one of the best looking
J Customs that you can buy. Congratz on a great score!!!

Its a JCRG21A. I have mine currently going through my Roland VG99. I hope I never have to sell this guitar. Nice find and a nice top on that one!

Re: My first J-Custom

Very impressive looking guitar and a nice quilt. Also like the "silver or metal" color of the trem/hardware. Congrats.

What a beauty!

And neck thru + GK; I like that

Did Ibanez ever sell JC's with GK pickup installed?

Is that confirming that it's a factory original installation?

I'm wondering because GK's (the "kit" version) are routinely installed by end users in all sorts of guitars, and I've never seen a JC with a GK before. In any case it's very cool.

Congrats! It's nice to see another one of these pop up

I still have yet to use the midi pickup on mine though.
