It's a '95 rg1508 AM and i love it!
bought a standard series esp horizon a few months back (which i sold to buy a peavey 6505 combo) and this Jc craps all over it! for a 14 year old guitar i am well impressed and for only $799US. Jj

yep this is the one, arrived in much better condition than i expected, absolutly no pick scratches, no buckle rash, and no corrosion, just the ding on the back of the body and a couple of tiny dings here and there.
thanks Jj

Re: my first j custom!

We like.

I'm imagining it with gold hardware and cream pickups...

Re: my first j custom!

I wanted to buy that guitar but I was really turned off by the major finish issue at the back of the body.

Happy new guitar day anyway!

I was a little unsure myself, but in the end compared to the rg1308 and a prestige from ibishi which both had much worse damage and were more expensive i decided this was the best of the 3. Really glad i did cause the ding is not as bad as it looks in the photo and i needed a player anyway, so like i said this guitar plays better than my $3000 esp horizon which is all that matter's to me. Jj

Re: my first j custom!

I saw the auction but refresh my memory, what is the issue on the back of the body? Can you post a picture?
