Re: My ibanez collection.
That is a beautiful collection. I don't know if it's cooler to see four guitars from different makers or four from the same. While they are all Ibanez, they are different enough that they don't completely cancel each other out. Anybody can get four RG550s in different colors but it's cool you have 6, 7, 8 strings, active and passive, trem and fixed bridge, single coil and humbucker.
When I was 16 I had a nylon string classical guitar I never touched but got a cheapo rental electric soon after that and got hooked to the "life". At 16 I had no idea what I liked since the whole puberty thing was throwing me for a loop.
I don't know what I would have done had I collected so many guitars at that age. The introduction of music to me was very slow from listening for years, to getting into drums, to eventually landing on guitars. I didn't play lead guitar for the first few years one I did guitar but got proficient at rhythm guitar first and let that soak in so when I approached lead guitar and electrics I was ready to stay for the long run. Other serious hobbies I dove into in my life where I went full bore very quickly I tired of after a few years (stamp collecting, coin collecting, model building).
