My Korean Squier / Your JPN Ibanez - hold the flames

All right before I get blasted for this suggestion just read it. About fifteen years ago I bought a Squier for $450.00. It had the Floyd Rose Tremolo, two double p'ups and one single p'up. For some reason, even though I bought this guitar new. I was never given an owner's manual and I was never told of it being a certain model Squier. I have been trolling the Squier and Fender sites cruising for information. I was told that it looked to be a Squier HM. I found plenty of Squier HM's on the web and thought they were very similar, none were exactly like mine. Decoding the Fender serial # tells me that the guitar was mfgr'd in '89. I finally found a website that had a lot of picks of Fender and Squier Strat HMs. I emailed the guy with pics of my guitar. He said it looked to be more like an Ibanez Maxxas than a Squier HM. I then started looking at pics of the Maxxas' but even though the guitar was similar it was not the same guitar. I then came across what appeared to be my exact guitar on a site that featured about a hundred pics of Ibanez guitars. It appears to be identical to an Ibanez RG 470.
Obviously this doesn't make a lot of sense. These guitars were discontinued around the time that mine was manufactured. The 470's were made in Japan and mine was made in Korea. I am wondering if it is possible that my guitar was actually a left over 470 that was then rebadged as a Squier when Ibanez discontinued the 470. Anyway, here are pics of my guitar and a 470. Mine is blue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You are right. I am now looking at the cuttaways and I can see that they are different. Oh well, my search continues. Thanks anyway.
