Re: My MAIN ax: Can I get some love for the RG1570???

2003 RG1570-Royal Blue, I really dont like the real glittery finishes today. But seriously I bought this RG1570 Prestige sight unseen from Music ians Fri end. It was my x-mas present to myselft. First 5-piece prestige neck, and I was blown away. I still say not many can touch it for the price today.

Now I'm dying for my 20th RG 550DY to get here.

Cool axe - Mirage Blue is actually a GORGEOUS colour! And besides, it's not BLACK!

How do you find the stock Ibanez pickups so far?

I like royal blue but not mirage blue, it looks like something you made in art class in kindy, RB looks wicked with black hardware.

i don't like the large dots on the royal blue,

but the dull cosmo hardware is way more durable than the new almost chrome hardware.

my RG1570 has corosion already from sweat when i play live. and i clean it every time i play it

Re: My MAIN ax: Can I get some love for the RG1570???

I prefer dot inlays above anything else and the cosmo hardware has held up GREAT, I found that if you keep the bridge clean right where you rest your palm and an occasional shot of something like Remoil will keep it from turning on you.

I want to put a TZ/AN combo in it, the stock pups are OK but lack a little clarity and midrange for my tastes, but for full on shred they sound great.
