Re: My New Ibanez EGEN

I think it's the best guitar i ever played, I mean you can play any kind of style on this guitar.
I took those photos before the rehearsel, and the bass player is in a jazz school. I played some jazz licks with that warm and fat tone(with the neck pickup, and rolled the tone knob a bit), he was like what the ****?! Then i used that humbucker spliter (so i can get that singlecoil sound) to throw some fender funky rythms, and then i used the bridge humbucker for heavy metal riffs. Just amazing. And i was playing in a crapy 1x12 fender combo...With my Engl powerball the sound i get is RAW.
My only complaint is the way you tight the springs on the edge zero, you need to roll some kind of wheel, which is not that easy and confortable to do... But the tuning is amazing you can dive bomb all day and still be in tune. Im really really happy with the edge zero tremolo.

Congrats!

Join the club.

I agree, it's a great guitar-and as versatile as you say.

Re: My New Ibanez EGEN

Congrats!

A great guitar.
I had one with me on a clinic tour and it was a cool guitar.
I did personally not fall in love with the look of it, but I did appreciate that it was a very good guitar that could be used for many styles of playing.

Re: My New Ibanez EGEN

Happy NGD! I like how Herman Li and Ibanez did that paint + hand sculpting thing to the guitar to increase the higher fret access
