my new old guitar! Yamaha RGX 620S

went to guitar center to get strings, saw this baby sitting in the used section... took and played it, loved it, even on the crappy marshall MG50DX amp i used... so i picked it up... i knew it needed some help, so i bought it, and brought it home and helped it it had a chunk broken out of the body between the neck pickup and the neck, i glued it back into place, and it just needed a setup in general.. it still needs 1 thing, a new nut, its got a weird locking system... it has a regular nut on it, and the locks are after the nut... very odd... the locking nut is stock tho, as is the trem, so i guess thats just how yamaha did things... anyways the nut is broken on the low E, so the low E sits slightly lower, but it doesn't affect intonation, and doesn't buzz anywhere, so its ok for now... anyways heres pics... this thing plays and sounds great, and for 80 bux who can complain!!!!

heres a sound clip of it... recorded this 1 take, its quad tracked, but only because i got cubase set up to get both left and right channels of my SPDIF input from my vamp pro, and the analog input from my mixer, which has my Behringer Ultra GI100 into it, which has my vamp pro going into it...

i just did my first modification to it... i made wooden plugs so that i could mount the bridge pickup directly instead of using the pickup ring... i'm going to keep the ring so i don't have 4 holes in the body, but the bridge pup will be direct mounted... heres a pic...
