Talking My new project!!

This guitar was originally a 1999 Ibanez RG 7620. I stripped her down and had a friend of mine paint the custom art. She did it freehand. She is a very good artist!! She will be going off to get a pro clearcoat and then re-assembled. I may in the future get a custom neck done, but not now. I have to finish some projects before I start new ones. Comments please!!!

Re: My new project!!

It looks like a painting I did in the kindergarten.
My mother still has it hanging over her living room wall LOL

Honestly, I dont think he meant that as an insult. I believe he meant the scene depicted is similar to something he painted, not it looks like a kindergarten painting.

Looks very nice!

Re: My new project!!

It's a great idea to have a Van Gogh replica on your guitar! Love it! Keep us posted!

Right my friend.
The listener(reader) chooses if what somebody said was ofensive or not.
Some people are negative and always choose for ofensive, others are positive and have a sense of humour so they always choose for not ofensive.

Re: My new project!!

I like it. Are you gonna add a lacquer to it to give it a gloss finish and protect it from your picking?

Talking Re: My new project!!

I do plan to clear it. The guitar was originally a silver or pewter color. I am going to sand the sides down to the original paint. The back will also sport the original paint. I am going to make sure the clear is VERY thick too. Its gonna ROCK!!

Re: My new project!!

It looks very child-like and animated to me, not into it at all...but if that's the look you were going for I'm sure it's sweet. Should make a solid guitar.

Re: My new project!!

I love the sky and buildings, the brown part, not so much... Looks like anime hair, or brown fire...

In any case, congrats for a real original guitar, and im sure your friend will be pretty proud every time you go onstage with it
