My new RG2610E

Fedex just dropped it off today. It still has the hang tag on it. One volume, One SD pickup, and no tone knob. Nice and simple.

The Seymour Duncan TB-10 is very smooth and has a lot of clarity. It is very different than the evolution that I am used to.

Re: My new RG2610E

It should have a push pull pot for the volume at least.

Is the binding pearl or just white?

Congrats. I like the clean look of that axe.

Re: My new RG2610E

They should make that in white with matte black hardware.

Re: My new RG2610E

Nice! Into a 5150 as well!

Good to know the Full Shred Humbucker is good, all reviews I read of that pickup on Harmony Central were pretty bad. What's the rhythm tone like?

Re: My new RG2610E

I like the clean classy look for that model and have liked the looks since it was debuted. I couldn't justify buying it myself being one hum.

I would really like to design a custom version starting with this axe and changing a few things:

Neck hum or single pup

Reverse headstock

Body/neck binding in pearl (ala 77VBK)

Inlays are fine but a 12th fret special inlay would look very nice

This would have been the perfect model to be an RGR rather than the new flat blk RGR1570 they just released.

I'd really like to try the SD pup. I've heard a few good things about it and hope to try one out sometime for possiblities in other basswood RG's I have.
