My new SZ320MH - pics

I haven't seen much on the forum about this model (SZ320MH) so I thought I'd post a couple of pics of mine. It's a real nice player. The neck is prety much RG shaped but thicker. It's not fat and round like a Les Paul or anything. The sound is different. It definately has some bite. Good definition, and fairly warm sounding. Somehow it feels and sounds a little strat like, especially in the middle pickup position.

Nice - it reminds me a lot of a shorter scale version of my MMM1!

Yes they look a lot alike. The neck on this guitar seems VERY short. I think it's partly because the body comes so far up along the neck. I would like to eventually put in zebra color pickups or maybe chrome coverd ones.

Very nice guitar dude. Was thinking about getting that exact one a little while ago. I probably will still get one in the future, its just a little different and I too love the natural wood. That guitar would be ideal for down-tuning riffs and rythmn work.

Very cool indeed though dude

I'm not sure; it's shorter scale than the RG and S models. The MMM1 is really the best option for low tunings.

bridge: Duncan Custom Custom
sounds like Dimarzio's Steve Special but without the polished midrange.

neck: Duncan Alnico II Pro
smooth neck humbucker capable of vintage tones & responds well to drive. of course, i'm not a Slash fan...

I have the same exact guitar! I LOVE IT! I was thinking of replacing the pickups too, but I am really not sure. The neck pickup is pretty smooth. The bridge pickup isn't that hot. I was thinking of the Air norton and the Air Zone. Any suggestions?

P.S. - Sperzels are in my near future too![/url]

I just sold my SZ a few weeks ago although I really liked it (It just didn't get enough playing time for me to justify owning it). I took few goodbye pics of it:

The black and creme pickups look nice in there. I just orderd a couple of black and creme Dimarzio Virtual PAF's for my SZ. They should look and sound awsome. I've also replaced the nut with a black one. The original nut was binding the strings. I think the black one looks a lot better and now the tuners feel smooth as butter.

Anything in Reverse Zebra

(Mine was 59 on neck and JB on bridge, tone pots bypassed)

edit: Ah sorry, you wanted DiMarzios...
