Re: My Proline Collection....

^^ Not a Rocket Roll, son, not by a long shot .

Anyway, sweet stable man. You've got all the ones I want. How would you describe the 1880s tonally?

You just need a 2550 .

The PL2660 models are one of the most rare ibanez guitars ever made. Jim Donahue ( former Ibanez product manager) says in 1986, there were only 132 of these made in the white pearl.

Re: My Proline Collection....

^^ There's a 1985 version too. It's got a nice neck but overall not as good as the '86.

I wonder what the production numbers for all the models. Expect they still have a record. Even some of the Roadstars that year were produced in low numbers, like the hardtail RG600 with the active pups.

On German eBay, there was a very early walnut one a year or two ago, with a K85000xx neck plate (earliest '86 spec Proline serial I've seen). It looked like it sat under a bed for the last 25 years.

I'm sure you've seen the overpriced but gorgeous pink one on eBay .

Re: My Proline Collection....

The only thing that could be better on the RS shapes is the positioning of the forearm cut. For me, it's angled towards the lower bout a bit too much, in combination with the restriction of the Edge's 'whale tail' making it less comfortable to play standing up.

Anyway, minor niggle.
