My RG520 has the wrong neck!!!!!!!

I finally took the neck of my 520 to see the date on the neck joint which is by the way, april 16, 2001(Im hoping the guitar was actually completed on my birthday, april 16th is also the day I bought it in 2002), anyway I was a little surprised to see the stamp on the neck joint that sai ERG 570 and Im wondering is this supposed to be like this? I havent had any problems with the neck and I know they are identical, but you think they would designate them differently. Is there a difference for example in the quality of the old 700 series necks and the 500 series? ALSO Just to add, and maybe rich can help me with this, once I took the neck off when I use the whammy bar the neck pops a little bit. The bolts are as tight as they go, and the necks on perfectly straight. Do I just need to let the neck settle? after ive taken it off?

The only difference between a 5 and a 7 series is the 7 series has sharkfin inlays. Necks can creak a little with whammy use, it's normal.

well it used to creak for like 2 seconds, and then wouldnt at all. Now it does it more frequently. Why does it creak? is it moving? Is there ANYTHING I can do to stop it. Its just annoying. I dont hear it through the amp, and I NEVER have to tune this guitar. it stays in tune ridiculously well. But I dont want it to creak

You either don't have it as tight as you think, or you have it too tight. Try adjusting a little

I use a Dewalt, doesn't mean I couldn't tighten it more with a screwdriver if I wanted to risk a strip The point was, either tighten it a little more, or loosen it, just to see if it made a difference

this may sound stupid, but remove the neck, hold it in place with all your strength (i mean REALLY hard) and then put the screws (maybe some one else can do it while you press).
