Cool My very first attempt at painting!!

i used an old RG470 body for this project. It was supposed to be my first attempt at a swirl. Unfortunately things went a bit awry. After my first attempt at a swirl, I found out I had nowhere near enough paint in the bucket. I also fount out my bucket was not deep enough. So, I decided to make an abstract kinda art thing, and just throw the paint at it. I think it looks fairly horrible, but since its my first attempt, I am going to clear it and put it together. I will prolly keep it to. Opinions on its horrible outcome? The first few pics are the guitar with just the base coat.

Re: My very first attempt at painting!!

I think it could be a lot cooler if it were a lot more subtle. Slightly more subtle than the Vinnie Moore like splatter paint jobs Ibanez did would probably look really cool. It has some character though, no one can try to get a way with your guitar without being spotted .

Nope.

Sorry, I just can't get on board with that. Personally I would sand and start again.

But if you like it, why not.

Re: My very first attempt at painting!!

I think it would look better without so much white showing through. Just my opinion. I give you props for trying.

Re: My very first attempt at painting!!

Does anyone have any idea how long I have to wait before I clear it? The paint is still a bit wet after almost 2 days.
