Navarro with an Ibanez again?

hello,

First Post here, so hey to everyone!

I'm not really an Ibanez Expert so, I've got questions here:

First which model is that? (I know for a fact there is a PRS trem on this one, replacing the original trem, and i couldn't find anythin online regarding a white Ibanez, with one humbucker and 2 single coils PU)

Do you think it could be a new signature model? Custom shop only?

Thanx you

Re: Navarro with an Ibanez again?

I have no idea what that is!!! I'd wager it's a custom model made for Dave though.

I wish guitarists just bought guitars they liked rather than relying on endorsements. You could still get a custom model suited to your needs without having a "signature model", that way you aren't stuck playing 1 brand the whole time!

I saw this axe on the videos from last night's gig this morning and I thought I was seeing things because of the cold I'm fighting off!

Videos here for 1%, Mountain Song, Stop, Ocean Size.

I find it interesting that James Hetfield has an ESP endorsement/sig but still plays whatever he likes: Gibson, Trussart, Ken Lawrence, etc. I guess ESP are so happy to have him that as long as he plays ESP a certain amount of the time, they don't mind him using other stuff too.

Yeah it seems ESP is really lenient on it. Kiko Louiero is enorsed and has a signature from ESP and another company.

While I don't like Dave Navarro or Jane's Addiction at all (just put on a freakin' shirt already), I'm happy to see that PRS is having trouble keeping artists. I think the guitars are great, but Paul Reed Smith himself is an arrogant jerk and needs to learn that as good as his guitars are, they aren't good enough to bash all other guitars or companies (or the tone wood of basswood). I always laughed when he said things like "these are the best guitars and we just don't let just anyone become one of our endorsed artists," I laughed because, Tremonti? Navarro? Those guys are the cream of the crop, Santana and Al DiMeola aside?

This would really be an interesting turn of events... I thought he was pretty happy with PRS... I'd like to see what he starts using from Ibanez in the future...

Re: Navarro with an Ibanez again?

^You never know... A white H/S/S superstrat with a fender style trem and a killer pickup combo, with a slightly thick 22 fret neck may be just what Ibanez needs to appeal a certain market. I'd be more than willing to try one out.

Except for the white part, wouldn't that about describe the Timmons models (AT300 and the new AT100CL)? The guitar in the Navarro pics is a 24-fretter.

Maybe that's what he's going for, a 24 fretter Timmons! Wouldn't be a bad choice!

Re: Navarro with an Ibanez again?

actually thinking about it Joe Bonamassa seems to be playing his Giglotti a lot even though he has a signature Gibson LP
