I just finished setting up (I'm actually waiting for the neck to settle and then I'll check to see if it needs more adjustment, but I think it'll be fine) my new SB900 that I practically stole from Dr.StrangeNote.

It's the best bass I've ever owned by a long shot. The neck is a much easier adjustment to me, as a guitar player, than other basses I've played. It's sleek and it weighs less than my 7 string Basswood RG7620.

Anyways enough talk, more pictures:

Super Happy.

This makes S series instruments make up 37.5% of my total collection. I love them ever so much.

Thanks for the awesome Deal. I was thinking about stripping the finish and re-doing it (with some sort of epic veneer top_ but I love the purple with the Yellow strings. Contrast is my friend!

beautiful!!!!!! im not very educated on basses but does the SB stand for Saber Bass or is it just a coincidence that this think looks like an s-series bass (or a saber bass haha see where things match up in my head?)?

Yes, it's a Saber! enjoy the hell out of it, great instrument.. and a big Congrats! to you..
BTW, I love what you did with the strings. Totally killer! I thought about stripping it to make it a tung oil finish. I can only imagine what that would look like with those yellow face melting strings...

Thanks guys! It's playing awesomely so far. I'll likely take a little more relief out of the neck, but I've got the action right where I want it.

The strings are DR Neon Yellows. 45 gauge. These strings sound unbelievable even when playing unplugged in. Since I don't play with a pick the colour won't get even a little bit chipped off. The K3 coating last a bijillion times longer than the old coating anyways.

I'm actually not a huge fan of natural grained guitars. I like my wild colours (in case you couldn't tell by the strings) so I'm glad you didn't give it the old tung oil treatment!
