NDG score

always looking for a new project and this one came up. 88 540s. body has some pretty bing dings along the edges, some of the plating has worn off the edge, typical neck joint crack and small crack at the locknut. But there is minimal fretwear, and now the neck is nice and tongue oiled. the front looks pretty good too. Its like a burnt metallic orange sunburst type color. it even had a back stop in great shape. so far i like the pickups better than the v7/v8s.
once i sell the back stop, i'm out about the cost of a pickup.
plays great and is comfortable as hell.
enjoy my crappy pic.

Nice guitar, how is your tongue though after oiling it though?

I think you meant tung oil.

I agree, great axe!

Someday, I'm going to pick one of these up. I played one and it felt fantastic. Great ergonomics and playability.

Peace

Mike

Re: NDG score

i'm actually loving the mahogany bodies now. 5 ibanez, 1 hamer and counting.

i'll have to take a couch shot someday. i have most of my guitars at my apartment, and i still keep 3 at my house.
i just hope my couch is big enough

Re: NDG score

NGD threads like this really make me consider finding an S series! I love that color, and the dings don't look too bad--maybe they're on the back. Too bad DiMarzio doesn't offer orange pups, but some red ones would look really cool, too.
