neck finish on the RGT series??

Hi there, just curious what the finish is on the RGT series?

Is it painted, oiled, satined?

Is there any graphiute rods or anything in there to make the neck more stable? If in fact they ARE painted like I assume, then a person would likely wanna sand off the finish and oil it (I hate painted necks)

Im really wanting to get into a Prestige neck thru. I love my USA JAcksons, have owned 2 of the USA Soloists, BUT I hate Floyd Roses orig trem, and I love the Ibanez Edge Pro, much lower profile and more comfortable for my playing style!

Some or MOST are natural wood but when you get the the upper fret access theres is slight paint

So the Body paint fades into the neck -

the one i played had thick laquer on the back of the neck which faded into the body paint.. it's not the same kind of finish as the bolt on necks. i found the rgt necks very sticky and that was about the only thing that made me not like the guitar

Both of the RGT's that I have owned, the necks were clear coated. It is the same clear that they use on the body. On the RGT that I still have I just roughed up the clear with 400 grit sand paper. I taped off the body and headstock so that it looks clean and just sanded until the neck had an even satin finish.
