Neck ID help needed, please.

Hi there,

I found this neck really cheap and it needs some help. However, I can't find out what guitar it was originally from. Can anyone help? The original owner had no idea. Thank you!

I'd say at first sight it's a low-end Ibanez neck, if not a fake

Re: Neck ID help needed, please.

Something's really amiss here. It's got a J-craft stamp, with a serial number that would be a 2010 model, but an old style faceplate on the headstock that doesn't bear any Prestige or above model logo - which it should if it's actually a Fuji made neck. I also can't remember any 2010 era J-craft guitar with inlays like that...

Maybe it's just the lighting, but the J-craft markings on the headstock don't look exactly right either. It should be a silverish sticker that's slightly raised, and that looks more like a stamp that's been inked on.

Unless Rick or someone more knowledgeable here knows of some limited run or something that was J-craft made, but had the plain black faceplate, I'd proceed with caution as several things don't add up

Agree with the above, its probably a fake. Another thing would be the tuner holes. A Fuji would have the single screw style gotohs, not the double pin hole lower end.

Thanks guys. I thought it was off, I just couldn't put my finger on it. Half matches one thing, other stuff matches another. For $40 it was worth looking into. If someone comes up with anything concrete, please let me know. Thanks again!

Concrete?.....OK, It's 100% chibanez. Total fake. Don't buy it unless your cold and in need of firewood.
