need help finding model

Looking to buy a ibanez and like to find out the model

Description

Guitar appears to be a prestige, looks like RG shape with a carved top, pickups seem to be active with chrome pickup rings, HH config, strange fretmarkers. Not dots. Looks kinda like these lightning bolts but offset (probably inverse sharkies) , Bound body and bound neck. Newer guitar, has the truss rod cover with the door. Color is red with a faint black burst, Set neck and it seems to have no tone knob but a mini switch. Trem looks like the original edge (hard to see have only a crappy pic on my cell)

Any help appreciated.

It looks to be an RGA 72T QM. I can't pull the pic right now, but google the model you will find it.

LOL Ibanez Deamon beat me to it.

Where does that one sit in the range? I'm still confused by the change away from RG550 to RG1550 etc...

Re: need help finding model

Its actually not a prestige, its not a Japan model. Id say its about the highest end RG before you get to Prestige quality. Ive never been up close and personal with one though so I couldn't vouch for fit, finish, or playability.

Is just like the rgt6 but arched top a mid range RGA, but set neck(the rgt6 is neck thru), 3 pieces wizard 2 or 3 neck, , edge III bridge, the infamous lo-z pickups and tha's it, the lastes model rga72tqmzE was a little bit better, with edge zero II and emg 81-85, both have the recessed barrel jack and easy access cover for the thruss rod

Re: need help finding model

This is a model I've been watching for a couple of years. I keep hoping they'll put direct mount non active pups into them. That coupled with the EZII, set neck and arched top would be a great guitar. Of course I wouldn't argue if they were to put offset dots on it too........
