Ah. Well, as long as it's an old jap, like he says it is, I guess it should be overall good.

Re: Need help with an old RG.

Thank you very much. I'll post serial number as soon as I get it.

An extra note: This would be my first RG. Great way to start out, huh?

Yes! A very good guitar as a starter.....even for more experienced players. These were some of the finest guitars Ibanez ever produced.

I'll be proud to own it, then! My first guitar that's older than me. Hehe.

Re: Need help with an old RG.

Hmm... Are you sure the serial number is for an 86? Is it F6xxxxx or maybe it is F86xxxx which will make this an 88.
Anyway it looks like an early 560 with the volume knob placed to close to the pickup rings.

Here is the pic(notice the neat paintjob):
I've seen this one before, long time a go she's on sale on some Japanese web store.
A few months a go, it was on e bay.
When she was displayed at the Japanese web store, it did say RG 560 for the desvription, but not mentioning the year or SN.

How would about a 600-700 US dollars be as price for this one? After all, we have quite high taxes in Denmark.

Then that would be a "Go!". Thank you very much. I'll just have to go see it in a week or two, to be entirely sure.
