need help! sustain said goodbye on my rg1550

my new rg1550 lost sustain! and i would say it lost a lot!
i switched the gauge of the strings to 10 (dean markleys)
redone the intonation, redone neck bow, redone action (medium), redone tuning (Eb)
everything is fine
but now i've lost the sustain of it
when playing on the higher frets (from like 12 on) i get a tone for like a second and then its fading out (pretty fast actually)
what has happened to my masterpiece? why has it happend? what can i do against it? need help!

that's kinda sad...

i dunno if you should rectify the pickup height since you revised the action there... what amp is this baby pugged into?

i had my 1550 equipped with Duncan pickups & the action lowered a tad & it rules!

Probably have too much neck bow for the action.
Put some tension on the neck and all should be good again.

pickup height is perfect as well as the neck bow (0.6mm @ 8th fret )
tried it through different amps, no name to marshall
may the dean markleys play a part at sustain?
going to put some d'addarios on it today, see if it helps

i need help pretty bad...

does intonation play a role at sustain?

maybe try a different set of strings, i know it costs money, but sustain is more important

The intonation would not affect the sustain. Can you tell if the strings are hitting any higher frets? Do you hear any fret buzz at all? Are you frets worn down?

How low is the action?

And did you check pickup height when fretting over half scale?

action is like 2,5 mm at 24th fret (unfretted, low E)

don't think the frets are worn down, i've got it for like 3 weeks now, pretty new
don't get any fret buzzing
and the pickup height is perfect

another problem appeared yesterday: now that the guitar won't squeal like a pig for ever (sustain) it squeals when totally pressing down the trembar

i'm pretty sad

dean markley , duncan pickups , fret buzz , neck bow , pickup height
