New Camera HIGH RES Pics of new guitar (56k beware)

ok here is just some pics of the new axe with my new camera.. I bought a Nikon D70 with some extras. These were taken just literally turning camera on and snapping LOL.. I need to read this BOOK on how to use the camera hahaha..

modded so far with the following

Dimarzio Fred in the bridge
Dimarzio PAF Pro in the neck

Wiring stock was 2 volume, 1 tone, 3 way. I modded it so it would be master volume and the other two pots working as coil taps for the humbuckers.

Can hear a basic track of the pickups here.. Goes like this Bridge hum, Bridge coil tap, Neck hum, Neck coil tap. Recorded on PodXT with the Fender Showman amp set flat across the board and just a hint of reverb. Cab simulation was a 2 x 12 blackface and mic simulation was 421 Dynamic with 50% room simulation.

D70 is the digital SLR isn't it? I think I have the analogue version of that one, will probably splash out for something like this at some point...

Oh lord Kenny!!

Collector - very nice camera. I am in the market for a nice Digi. The main one I am looking at is the Canon EOS350D . It's about $ 850 total with Kit lens pac. Can I ask how much yours put you back?

This is unless you got for doing favors

Its a Nikon D50 Digital SLR with all the crap I got extra battery, card, lens, etc it was $700..

It can take much better pics I just need to learn how to use it. LOL

These were literally out of the box, charge battery, point and click.

ic - good luck with the camera. i wish i had more time to play with my dSLR shooting static objects. you should skim the manual as those dSLRs are finicky as far as focus and DOF (depth of field). at least study up aperature mode settings

in the pics above look at each pickup pole how some are badly out of focus. you need to use a higher aperature and/or move the lens further from the focal object. you can see focal non-uniformity in every shot though FYI... glen

Re: New Camera HIGH RES Pics of new guitar (56k beware)

i know... i posted for that reason... you're gonna blow alot of good shots until you heed my suggestion.

my 3.2mp digi elph took much better shots out of the box and was $149 clearout. no way around it but dSLRs need some "expertise" to operate. you didn't waste $$$ for OOF shots... glen
