Smile New Guitar Day * RG770dx

Hello , long time lurker and admirer of the fine Ibanez guitars , ever since my friend got a Maxxas back in the 80's I've wanted one . Well I'm finally there after all these years got me a Stunning red RG770dx fresh and minty and I love it , it plays wonderfully and is flawless in it's construction . I did a quick little jam over a tune I just recorded so please check it out . Thanks , Scott ... *waves*

Re: New Guitar Day * RG770dx

This are great guitars, but I just sold my RG-770DX Violet Metallic--didn't like it more than any of my 570s or 550s. Plus, the new Jem that came in today blew it away. Enjoy it, though--they are great Ibbies!

Looks great, btw do they use the older wizard necks on all these reissues? I'd be so tempted to get one if that is the case.

reissues have original wizard geometry but have better truss rods and hardwood inserts in the neck construction making them superior to the originals. so yes original wizard with modern quality.

Re: New Guitar Day * RG770dx

Thanks Fellas ! yeah it was nice to see a 5 piece neck , 3 piece Maple with 2 Walnut stringers . Flat and wide . Nice feel too , love it ! And the locking nut screwed from the top , I can't tell you how many old ones were cracked at the nut due to over tighting of the lock , when I was on the hunt for one I couldn't find any that were not cracked actually .

Congrats! That looks really Awesome. Like the dark red color scheme, especially the fretboard inlays, and even down to the red case lining!

Erm... amazing actually. Can't beat a nice RG770DX, highly regarded by those who have owned/own including me. Can I ask what other guitars you own and what you make of the Wizard neck in comparison?? Cheers dude!!

oh nice to hear Thanks , well I have a few , Tele , Strat , Warmoth builds and a PRS CE , I think all of them have more of vintage radius , from 7 to 10" none are as flat as the Ibby , it's indeed a flat / wide neck with a 16.5" compound radius if I'm not mistaken . I dig it, it's fast and easy to play . It feels stiff too which I like probably due to the 5 piece . Thanks again
