New IBANEZ DESTROYER?

I thought i caught a glance of it in the new xiphos ad the other day.... i think it's in the new guitar world.

27 frets,dual rail neck pickup,d-activator bridge p/u.

any predictions?

and why couldn't it be like the old one? Retro sales these days.

Theres another thread or two about it somewhere. A good re issue would've been great. Unfortunately the new one is Indonesian otherwise I would've bought one.

Re: New IBANEZ DESTROYER?

Pretty sure the destroyer's specs are up on Ibanez's website. They're on the Canadian one at least. I'm too lazy to go check right now but I'm 96% sure it's the same as the original (24 fret) but with some sort of fixed bridge. I think it just has two d-activators but I have a naggling feeling it has different pups.

Re: New IBANEZ DESTROYER?

thanks guys. I don't want to seem lazy, my college has blocked the ibanez website for some reason, and the next best thing to fact is usually jemsite...

my ad still sez 27 frets........ guess we're going after, esp and caparison now....

Re: New IBANEZ DESTROYER?

One of the new Xiphos models is a 27 fret neckthrough...

Maybe the add got it confused with that. Because Ibanez put the Xiphos, Destroyer, and Iceman all in the same category.

Re: New IBANEZ DESTROYER?

They gonna have to get their act together and bring a proper reissue...even if it is an MIJ DT-50 reissue (would love one in black or FR). A prestige DT would sell like hot cakes.

If not people will go buy Deans, they're pretty good guitars too.
