New Martin Acoustic On the Way!

I just ordered a Martin HD7- it's in stock at Nazareth and should be here by Monday. I'm pretty pumped about it.

The HD7 is a Roger McGuinn Signature D-45 style acoustic, but it's difference is that it has 2 G-strings. I've been craving another Martin and this presented itself so I jumped.

Does anyone else get into Martin acoustics?

Re: New Martin Acoustic On the Way!

Very nice man. I love me some Martins. I have 2 right now, well, one was a Christmas present for Mrs. Cid but I probably use it more than she does.
The store I teach at used to be a Martin dealer. I saw the McGuinn sig, but wasnt quite sure of the advantage of 2 G-strings (place stripper joke here). Is it an octave thing or are they the same G?

I absolutely love the Martins. I saw a demo of that one and it was actually pretty cool. It produces a fairly convincing 12 string sound for only having one string doubled.

Re: New Martin Acoustic On the Way!

Martins are still the best acoustics IMHO. The high end ones sound amazing, and even the cheaper Martins (not Sigma) somehow manage to have that "Martin sound".
