Iceman and Destroyer... Why not release these in Japan? They would sell so much

Maybe because instead of a hunch, they've got market intelligence that says they wouldn't sell so much? Maybe they're using the US as a test market?

Don't be under the illusion that any leading guitar company blindly puts out guitars and hope they sell, they might sometimes get it wrong, but they tend to do their homework...

Re: New Mikro models for US market

Bottom line.

The distributor makes the decision on what to buy and what not to buy. Japan has 4 distributors, they are solely responsible for what is available in Japan. Hoshino is a company in the business of selling products, as many as they possibly can. If a Japanese distributor wanted to order those guitars all they would have to do is make the minimum order and they would be available in your market. The same goes for every single market open to Ibanez products in the world. Extremely rarely is anything "exclusive", such as specific store model runs, etc.

Those are cool little guitars! I want one now... Checked them out on ebay, cheaper Chinese ones for under $200 and Indonesian ones for $600. I was hooked at "22.2 inch scale"... might try to find a cheap used RG style one to try.

At least you can get them. Although at the end of the video, TTK says they are limited production models so if you really are going to buy one, gotta do it quick.

you can't buy one and have it shipped? I know it may be expensive, but it can be done. I get them from all over the world

I could, but why spend all that money for a guitar that's gonna need string savers and locking tuners I LOVE the look of Mikros though so I think about it sometimes. However, with the 655 getting the Candy Apple treatment, I'm gassing hard for one
