(updated) New models have entered europe! Some models you may have not seen before.

Click on the links, then on "8x" to see them in all their beauty.

The first two are BIG surprises, at least for me.

S2075FWHS featuring a beautiful POPLAR top.

rg3120FANT (aged natural), I've never seen that mentioned before on this site:
http://www.musik-produktiv.de/shop2/...uelle=volltext

Then, rg220ANTF (natural flat) mentioned in another thread before.
http://www.musik-produktiv.de/shop2/...uelle=volltext

The 'old' rg2020 with the mahogany wings has been renamed RGT220HSOL and doesn't feature the offset dots anymore , cosmo hardware and a slightly wider maple part in the body.

RGA121VLF (violin flat)

RGA121NTF

RGA321FSPB

And, of course: The new jem.

----------

Update:

RGT320. I'm speechless. That is one guitar worth dreaming about!

Then, another RG3120:

S520 Is coming back too, with ugly inlays, weird pickups and odd colors.. and sure as hell MIK.

Sweet! Thanks for the update! I really like the new RGA models a lot. And it looks like Ibanez has gone to the smaller fretboard dots across the board (so to speak)... nice! I never liked the huge "fretboard markers for dummies".

Re: New models have entered europe! Some models you may have not seen before.

Thks for the pix.

Is it my eye or is the offset dot on the S2075FWHS uneven?

I still prefer the HH on the older S prestige. HSH just doesn't look rite to me....

and yeah, small dot makers r beautiful.

lloop9,
i think that is not normal offset dots, but rather a stylized series of 3 dots in different sizes. look closely under the low E string.

do we see a return of the RG3120 here? but w/o the offset dots? i wonder, is it really that difficult to produce offset dots? they're still round dots, just repositioned. but it improves the guitar look by a lot, IMHO.

Unhappy Re: New models have entered europe! Some models you may have not seen before.

It makes me weep that the new jem costs more than the 7v series and has no vine.

I love the new maple capped rg with mahog body. I am mose likely gonna buy one and switch the pickups to tone zone/air norton. It is gonna own.

Anybody planning on getting one and modding it?

I've been having inappropriate dreams about the RGA series...I must have one.

Yeesh... those RGAs aren't cheap. The "violin flat" model converts to about C$1400.

Re: New models have entered europe! Some models you may have not seen before.

Jeezus. I'll pass on that, thanks!

And just when you think Ibanez is starting to get a little more rational with their naming and numbering schemes, it looks like they've regressed and got even MORE random with their model numbers. Four digits, three digits, Prestige, regular line... it doesn't matter. Slap a bunch of letters and numbers together and get them out the door!

Re: New models have entered europe! Some models you may have not seen before.

I swear, Ibanez must be running their company on a database built in the early '80s, where they can't enter more than 8 digits for a model name.

Either that, or whomever is in charge of these things can't think systematically, and really just doesn't care.

I mean, why the hell do we have the RGT42? Shouldn't it be the RGT420? Adding the "thousand" digit on the Prestige line was a good way of separating the Japanese and Korean lines, but it looks like they've randomly dropped that as well... unless the RGA models are built in Korea as well (or might be switched over mid-year).

The {high} price on the A's tells you exactly where they're made

Do you think they are going to just switch over mid year, or wait and start in '06?
