New PGM for 2015?

https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.n...5da0dd94baf471

It's on the cover of Nov 2014 Young Guitar.

Can't see from the miniature pic but it looks like

- Premium model
- old neck joint
- strat style trem
- PAF masters?
- 25 frets?

Re: New PGM for 2015?

Paul has been playing the 800 reissue for awhile on the artistworks website....at least a month or 2. Its 22 frets with locking tuners and a Wilkerson trem.

The 25 fret one, Ibanez added that one fret so he could play a certain tune he was working on. I asked him about that in the forum

Finally, a 22 fret PGM! Maybe the MIJ version will have a lo pro edge, reverse headstock, no inlays, and 4mm quilted maple top

Re: New PGM for 2015?

I saw this in the latest GW issue too. Nice looking fiddle.

I'm in the market for a new 6 string soon so this could be just the ticket. Dependent on pricing etc.

Re: New PGM for 2015?

another tidbit from Paul:

I had an extra FRM100, and I asked the Ibanez custom shop to install DiMarzio Air Classic humbuckers in the bridge and the neck positions. I wanted to keep the same pickup angle, use cream and black coils, and a black pickguard.

Ibanez will be releasing a production version of this guitar, called the FRM150.

Re: New PGM for 2015?

Thanks.

I spoke to a seller in Japan and he said they will be available in March and are pre order only at the moment, so I'm not sure how many they are making.

I don't think they are coming to Oz either.
