New Project Guitar Day

Project guitar is done! It's a 49 Snakehead/Esquier hybrid

earvana compensated nut
Wilkenson compensated bridge
PIO cap
D. Allen Triple Play pick up that is pretty cool. It basically has 3 outputs selectable with the pickup selector.
Warmoth 10-16" compound radius neck.
Squier Pine CV Tele body

Wow, that came together so well Cid!!

I can't believe how good the logo plate looks on the snakehead. It seems like it was always meant to be that way. When you said Esquire, I thought for sure that you were going to go with a half guard....... I like this one much better

So what do you thing of the compound radius??

Re: New Project Guitar Day

The compound radius is great. I was really worried about the neck as I never played a Warmoth and wasn't sure what to expect as far the size of it, but it's great. The body isn't really natural it's a thin white finish.

How was the fretwork from warmoth? Did your guy have to re-work it?

Re: New Project Guitar Day

After dicking with this thing for a week, I am seriously thinking about having Warmoth make me another neck for my black tele. Iused to love that neck, but now I'm not so sure.

I can get a new neck made for my black tele, put the black tele's neck on my red tele and sell the red tele's neck to just about cover what the Warmoth would cost.

hmm......
