The new RG2820ZD

Have you seen this? Alder Body!

If Ibanez was to build a signature for me a few years back, this would be it.

That is really pretty, but why on a guitar like this doesn't Ibanez match the headstock to the body?
They do it on the Premiums but not the more expensive Prestige, I don't understand that.

A PGM401 with Duncans and a trem. Nice!

Re: The new RG2820ZD

Hmmm, almost September and still no "new stuff from 'summer NAMM'" on the USA site aside from the RG3XXV. We know the RG721 is coming here along with the maple board Premiums (thanks to online retailers and Rich Harris) but I wonder how many other models now updated in other countries that we'll be seeing here.

I also had an EVH in my RG550 for a while but switched it out. Since then I've been kind of jonesing for an RG with a Seymour Duncan. The 2820 looks pretty good in that regard.

Re: The new RG2820ZD

I like it, although I feel like they should have done something different with the headstock. Maybe an alder veneer with the same burst?

Re: The new RG2820ZD

I think the headstock does not stand out that much 'black' as with other colored guitars. Maybe it fits with the black rim of the body. That is to my eyes, of course...
