New seven string finished

Hi guys,
Finally finished this swirled seven string - I built it for me so I've been doing little bits to it when I've had time and it seems to have taken ages (I did put some in-progress pics of it in another thread a few weeks ago so some of you may have seen it before)!
It's a padauk body, shaped like an RG7 but with a sculpted front so it's thicker in the middle than an RG, but thinner at the outer edges. Then it has an RG7621 neck with mirror red and orange dots and the body is swirled in red, orange, yellow and black (including the backplates). It's a Blaze custom in the bridge pos and a standard Blaze in the neck, with the usual RG7620 5-way switching. I've not tried a blaze custom before but practising at home it sounds great - very ballsy. I'll gig it Saturday so should get an idea of the sounds then.
The pics aren't the best because it wasn't a bright day and I need good light to get the best out of my cheap camera, but it looks okay (too many reflections with the flash and a bit too dark without it - grrrrr).
Cheers for now,
Rich

Re: New seven string finished

Cool swirls and matching of colors but I don't like the plaing of knobs and switch in those cuts

Re: New seven string finished

I got some yellow bell knobs to go on the pots but they don't fit the shafts so I haven't used them yet - they'll go with the recesses much better I think.

Re: New seven string finished

I'd prefer the sort of bridge seen on regular RG hardtails, but otherwise, nice!

Re: New seven string finished

I like the stop tail bridges, sorta. The way ibanez recesses them is awesome. Then the neck doesn't need shimming.

Very nice, I love the swirl and nicely done on the red and orange dot inlays too. Beautiful work once again, Serratus.

That is awesome looking! Great color choice, and very well executed! That wouldn't spend two minutes in its case in my house, seriously!

Re: New seven string finished

That's pretty cool guitar. I think the only thing that would have made it cooler is if it was a TOM bridge string through rather than the stop tail. I reckon some Ibanez RGs should come with this setup, both 6 and 7s.
