Look what UPS dropped off today!
This thing is virtually mint. There is some extremely small scratch on the backside of the guitar. The seller told me where it is, but I had to look for it. The guy said that he played it one time since buying it from Rich four years ago. I have been wanting one of these since I saw the catalog shots years ago and not only did I finally get one, I think I got the actual one from the catalog.
The seller said that this is the 2006 NAMM show guitar and based on the pictures, I'm pretty sure he's right (I compared a bunch of specific areas in the quilt top to the pictures). I also found a number of official Ibanez pictures online that seem to match this guitar.
One strange about this guitar is that there is that it is not cut like a standard RG. I figured that the neck-thru would be the only difference, but it isn't. The top is very flat compared to an RG and the contour of the rear cutaway is much more exaggerated, extending completely through the upper horn.
Last but not least, the obligatory group couch shot!
