NGD :)

RG7321
Cost : 200$ of CL

Initial impressions :

kinda beat up on the paint, huge chip on the corner. Oh well. Has an inch of dust, so it hasnt been played at all. This means fret wear is nonexistent.

Pickups ->

shockingly good. Picks up harmonics really well. The neck is too muddy for the b string though

Plays pretty well too. rusted strings are keeping me from doing anything fantastic on it, but I can tell, with a proper setup this thing is going to be a beast.

been gassing for a 7 string and stop tail guitars, guess I have my cure for both for the time being

so trying to get used to the neck in the mean time.

good value for money!

Re: NGD :)

Oh yeah, Im absolutely SHOCKED with how light this thing is!!!

Plans? Not too much. Gonna take strings off, attempt to repair the divots and the fudged up paint. Clean off all the dust and crap too.

I may want to swap the neck pickup out, but nothin solid yet until I play it more.

what I will do is give the neck a little "prestige" action. Polishing the frets and rounding the ends better. definitely reshaping the neck profile to an offset radius (think EBMM Axis style). thinner on the treble side, thicker on the bass side, but its not bad as it sits.

anyway, pics are crap but its not a sweet guitar by any means, so Im not worried. Nice black finish and H/H combo, so its up my alley.

Notice the ridiculous amount of dust buildup

that chip on the bottom is actually WAY worse then it seems in the photo. gonna have to pry it up and glue it back down to start.

Re: NGD :)

I have the same thing only with the current Gibraltar. Pretty much the same exact guitar. It's bad ass! The pickups do sound great too, though I might switch out a pair of Blazes - maybe. I think the added resonance of the seven string and being a fixed bridge makes the stock pickups sound a lot better.
Enjoy!
