Re: NGD

Looks like an RG550. Maybe an early one with the Original Edge switched out for a Lo Pro? Or an early 90's model that might have come with a Lo Pro Edge. What's the first few numbers of the serial number on the back of the headstock?

Great score BTW! Very nice!

Re: NGD

Ty guys!! Its one of the last RG450BK made in Japan.
Its from '93, but hardware color and trem switched. Should be black hardware and an edge bridge.

Re: NGD

That's a really clean golden era RG. I saw one like that for $400 but banged to all heck like a pre-CBS Fender and I should have picked it up. It wasn't poorly taken care of on purpose but it certainly saw a lot of live gigs but no cracks on back of headstock by locking nut holes. Like the prized Tube Screamers, the golden era RGs may bring a great price someday in relation to other gear. While the Tube Screamer is among the most expensive used effects of that era, the golden era RGs should one day become one of the most valuable used guitars from that time period, and would make sense to bring in more than a used American Standard strat or Gibson Les Paul Studio (all priced new around the RG then).

Re: NGD

i hope so! I paid 200€ for the ibanez plus 30€ in shipping. I bought it mainly because of the wizard neck for a future project, but now that im looking at it, im not shure what im gonna do. One thing is certain, i have to refinish the body cause it have a lot of chips and finish cracks, its hard to see in pics. Maybe ill shape the body like a rg550 and paint it in Sour Apple Sparkle Green with the black pickguard... maybe.
