NGD 1986 Roadstar RG-410

Picked up this little gem today and I have a few questions. I have already ordered the missing parts and pieces, but...
I want to put a big block in it and do not want to modify the body at all nor the Trem.
Does anyone have a link to a direct fit? I sent out a couple of inquiries on eBay... but.
It was born on 3/86 C86 serial so does anyone know the name of the color.
I have searched out a lot of it, but the colors I have found aren't as specific as I need to the models.
Any and all help would/will be appreciated.

Such a great guitar. I have one too and it's my favorite to play. Congratulations man!!

I wouldn't bother with trying to find a bigger block. The '86 edge's have a significantly longer block than any later years. The only way you'll get a brass or titanium block that works is to have one custom made.

Your color is Pearl Red.

And here is the ad it originally appeared in.......

Thank you so much, the one block I inquired about is a custom one with a additional piece that adds length to it so the springs won't be an issue. I am going to search them out a little better this morning. I had came across the same ad you posted but couldn't find one I could save and blow up to a legible size.
I picked this and another partscaster for $50, my other RG I picked it and two others for $150...
This is my second Roadstar I am a big fan, my other one which lead me to joining this site some time back is a RG-440.

^^ That's very nice 1987 Roadstar! Still has the sticker on the bridge pu to boot.

Well done on the 410, superb colour and condition. Regarding the trem block, KGC offer replacement blocks for Edge trems: http://www.killerguitarcomponents.co...o-block-detail. Their stuff is impeccably made from what I've seen/read. There are several length and thickness options.

Re: NGD 1986 Roadstar RG-410

Yeah. I'm sure you'll agree, the necks on these guitars are nothing but superb, probably their best feature.

Dimensions of the stock Edge block are 10.4mm wide at baseplate, 9mm at the end, 40.5mm tall. So, a 5/8" + 40mm KGC should work fine.

Too bad about the boomerang strap pins (though it's a minor OCD detail ); I'm always on the lookout for some but they're stupidly expensive for what they are.

Thanks for the dimensions. I scored another boomerang off of the bay.

Thank you, I was happy to be able to get it for what I did. They seem to be pretty scarce.

Re: NGD 1986 Roadstar RG-410

It is possible to get an after market block. The Gotoh ones fit the same as the Edge ones. Order one of these and you should be right.

Re: NGD 1986 Roadstar RG-410

That guitar WOULD be a blast to play if setup right. I love the fact that it has just a volume. Here's the sound your getting, go!!!

Very much agreed, that is badass.
