NGD 2001 IBANEZ J CUSTOM RG1880-VV

My J Custom arrived today. Wasn't exactly sure on model, it was between JCRG8570 and JCRG1880 but this has a beefier neck than a Wizard so I assuming she's the thicker J Custom profile neck of the RG1880. In players condition this one, needs work. Mahogany body, flame maple top, lo pro edge. Dimarzio's are Paf Pro neck, Blue Velvet middle, bridge pickup has been swapped out for an X2N which is a lively little number. Haven't really had the chance to hear it properly yet as my amp is out on loan but had a blast thru a pocket pod and crappy headphones just.

PICS!!!!

Shows again they had some nice wood in the production lines back in the day. Love the offset dots. Is it a one-piece mahog body?

Very nice indeed! I would love to score a 6er brother like this to my RG7-CT.

Thank you!! My collection of J Customs is starting to take a bit of shape now, the ones pictured above aren't even half of the current stable, trust me I am humble to even own one J Custom. Nevertheless you must buy one, no pain no gain, those ones you mentioned that Rich has in stock are EASILY the best Ibanez you can buy today imho.

There's a used 8470AVV on his site that is very tempting!

Wish I could. I received another RG from the man himself 2 weeks ago and some of my guitars are being left aside

Thanks!

I posted a NGD on the "Other Ibanez Guitars" forum but that's a very obscure place...

I'll do my best to take some pictures of the 8570 tomorrow!
