NGD....88' Turbot

Just got this one in the other day from fellow Jemsiter rgsuperstrat. This one's an 88' Turbot that's in really great shape.

I do loathe the color, but that aside, this is a really cool and super rare Ibby from the golden era.

Congrats, uber. Tho it's one of the few "Ibby that no one bought when it was new" I don't like. beautiful finish tho. Heather pearl, yes? Kinda like halfway between salmon pink and neon pink. It's also thinner than I thought it was.

Actually, I have a Salmon Gambale, and it's a completely different color. The Heather Pearl has a purple quality to it. To me, it's really one of the few Ibanez colors from back in the day that I don't like...........although I know alot of people do like this color.

On the bass side of the body it is indeed thin........Saber thin. On the opposite side it's about as thick as an SG I'd say.

It looks like a Tele version of a Saber. Nice though! I don't like the color, but other than that I love it.

Re: NGD....88' Turbot

Yet again, I'm surprised at how Ibanez has stop making all the interesting stuff. Never heard of a Turbot. That's pretty wild.

Sorta like: S series - Stratocaster + Telecaster = Turbot!!
