Alex Skolnick would be proud, he may put some thick jazz strings on it and deny the model but deep down inside he would be proud....

Congrats! That was the one guitar I wanted more than my 750.....love it

Re: NGD: '89 540PSH-DY

Yeah, I've been after a DY from the start. I've seen one other for sale in the past few years and it was a fairly beat up player that sat on eBay for a long time before it finally sold. I got this from the guy in Arkansas who got it for a steal from a friend. He posted about it and several people tried to call and snag it out from under him. He didn't really bond with it so he PM'd me asking if I was interested. So the moral of the story is be cool to people on the forum and good stuff will come your way

Very nice. I like the abstract RG look and sharktooth inlays rule. How does the F3 sound compared to the F2?

The F3 and F2 are nothing alike. The F2 sounds a lot like a FRED to me. The F3 is a very aggressive pickup.

Two different beasts.

Happy it went to you man. I didn't intend on moving it but im a Jackson guy and honestly I could see your passion for this one very strongly.

Sometimes we run across guitars that just speak to us.

enjoy dude

Yeah I laughed. I've seen some insane prices, but that one takes the cake!

Much appreciated my friend! I absolutely love this thing. All it needed was a little elbow grease to get cleaned up.
