NGD: Behold the power of AXSTAR!

Snagged another old Ibanez no one loved at the time it was out. Axstar AX75. a rare bird, indeed.

Poor Axstar. Nobody loves her.

I've always wanted one and they show up so rarely so I said why not. Besides, alder body, ebony fretboard, active pickups (which, if they sound like mush, I'll go get some EMG's for it), it probably sounds fantastic.

Love it!! Retro is cool. Little bit of Ibanez history there if you ask me. I've read that those were made at Chushin-Gakki I believe. I'd love to own one.

I was only gonna put EMG's if the stock ones sounded like mush. If they sound great, I leave them be (et al the IBZUSA F1's in my new Maxxas MX-3...those pups smoke!)

I think that may be the case as the serial number begins with a 'C'.

Yeah that would tie in with Chusin-Gakki thing for sure JS. How does she play and sound? I must say I'm rather taken with that guitar, great score. Do you reckon it'll need a bit of tinkering with and are you thinking of modding it? Just my 2 cents but for me she's ultra cool stock but it's your guitar and I'm sure you'll make a great job of any mods to it.
