Love how you blamed that one on me

Dude - what I really want still is an offset-dot J Custom, preferably an RG8570 TB or a neck-through. If you ever get one in, get ready for some serious e-mail harassment till I have it. I keep checking your used section almost religiously ever since I got my out-of-this-world RG8470F FE from you.

I agree I think the top has character. That's great looking guitar there and I'm liking the 5 way blade switch
(and I'm not even a big figured maple fan)
The top is really something else. It's an artist grade top, but it must have been cut way off the perpendicular axis, which gives it this great contrast in the flame.
The PRS trem is a little bit of a different beast to me, I'll give it some work on Sunday to get it to my specs. The trem is surprisingly responsive and smooth, and has a great feel to it when resting my picking hand. The neck is killer, the PRS standard neck carve convinces me once more that it's not about how thin a neck is but how it's shaped.
I still have to figure out how the pickups dial into my amp settings, these are the lowest output ones I have, but the tone is very organic and responsive. Yet, the 5-way switch is really good to have compared to the usual PRS 5-way rotary switch, which is very awkward if you're used to blade switches.
The most particular thing however is the guitar's scent. All guitars have a different scent I think (maybe I'm crazy?). The PRS blew me away when opening the case with some very floral notes.

Funnily, they added a spare back plate to save the signed one's gold writing.
