Re: NGD E-GEN! Ibanezrules!
Now I guess I should comment on the guitar it self...
this guitar is laid out perfectly for the virtuoso player.
this is the 1st axe I have owned with a AANJ neck joint. and I have to say it is a vast improvement over the 4 bolt JEM I have been playing since 92.
as you shred up past the octave you run out of fret board before any thing hinders you in anyway. I do not know if that is the body reliving that was touted in the herman lie vids, or just AANJ's as a whole but it is really quite amazing.
the EZ bridge performs better than my edge/lopro's but I believe this is because it is brand new and the others are over 10 yrs old.
the fine tuners are crowded as rich and others noted in other commentaries, but correction to tuning don't come often enough to make this a complaint as yet.
the volute is not an issue although i was afraid it might be, as your palm is raised up off the neck by the time you are playing over the 1st position, so worries there were just visual shock at 1st seeing it on a neck design.
the electronics are everything I hoped it would be, these pickups stand in good stead with PAF's Breeds, and Fred's..
they are very well EQ'd and have lots of punch and output though they lose some attack through effects which i attribute to delicate hi freq they are geared for that give you the excellent harmonics advertised and delivered.
more to come on the selector options and tone layout.
